The People of Parihaka

For RE this week, we were learning about Parihaka. Parihaka was a peaceful village full of kind and caring people. But the government wanted to take the land. They sent soldiers with guns and swords, but the people of Parihaka did not resist, instead they greeted the soldiers. The women baked bread while the children sung and danced. The soldiers still took their land and inprisioned the cheifs but the People of Parihaka did not retaliate or complain. When the cheifs got out of prison, they simply rebuilt Parihaka.

I enjoyed making the Google Drawing and learning all about Parihaka.
I found nothing challenging.
